Princex Aimis (they/them) is a FIERCE, up-and-coming queen, that wears multiple hats (scratch that) DURAGS! Advocate, educator, clinical social worker, poet, drag queen, performance artist, and the list goes on.
In their work they heavily utilize drag, which is oftentimes misconstrued as an adult or superficial form of entertainment, as a way to educate and inform. It is their mission to raise social consciousness on topics related to gender/sexuality, and ensure that young people have access to a curriculum that is inclusive, affirming, and empowering.
Before completing their MSW, at the University of Pennsylvania, they led support groups for queer youth of color in South Jersey and Philadelphia. They possess multiple years of experience working with youth that have encountered an overwhelming number of adverse childhood experiences. They heavily utilize trauma-informed care and trans-affirming cognitive behavioral therapy, in their practice, to assist youth with overcoming adversity in education and life. After obtaining their master’s degree (at the young age of 23), they began working in the healthcare setting to ensure that trans people had access to everything they needed to begin their medical transition. It has been one of the greatest joys of their life to provide queer affirming care to queer people of all ages.
Amos’ literary works, have and will always, center and prioritize groups that are marginalized because it is their goal to change the world one word at a time.
